CLINTON, Miss. --- Spring sports seniors across the nation had their collegiate careers cut short due to the COVID-19 pandemic.
A time-honored tradition across all athletic departments is to celebrate "Senior Day" by recognizing each of the members of their senior class for their efforts while a part of their program.
At Mississippi College, we wanted to let each one of our spring sports student-athletes have their own "Senior Day" to thank them for their time as Choctaws and Lady Choctaws. Their contributions to their teams and the athletic department will always be remembered.
ZACK INGRAM --- BASEBALL
A native of Vestavia Hills, Ala.,
Zack Ingram etched his name into the career record book at Mississippi College.
"Zack has been with me and a part of this program for four seasons and definitely has a special place in the MC baseball program's history," said head coach
Jeremy Haworth. "He is one of the many reasons this program has seen so much success. We want to thank Zack for his leadership on the pitching staff and his countless hours of dedication to the program."
The right-handed hurler concludes his time in Clinton ranked second in starts, fifth in innings pitched and strikeouts and eighth in wins and appearances. He is one of 44 players in Gulf South Conference baseball history to record a no-hitter (2017 at Valdosta State) and the last Choctaw to accomplish the feat. The Zack Attack was a 2019 All-GSC selection on the mound and a three-time GSC Academic Honor Roll honoree in the classroom.
The Business Administration major is the son of Kate and Dave Donaldson and Clay and Katie Ingram.
Every day for the next five weeks, we will recognize a senior for their contributions on and off the field for their respective programs. The baseball, softball, golf, tennis and track & field programs will all be represented in alphabetical order, regardless of sport.
