CLINTON, Miss. --- Spring sports seniors across the nation had their collegiate careers cut short due to the COVID-19 pandemic.
A time-honored tradition across all athletic departments is to celebrate "Senior Day" by recognizing each of the members of their senior class for their efforts while a part of their program.
At Mississippi College, we wanted to let each one of our spring sports student-athletes have their own "Senior Day" to thank them for their time as Choctaws and Lady Choctaws. Their contributions to their teams and the athletic department will always be remembered.
AUTUMN FROST --- TRACK & FIELD
A native of Largo, Fla.
Autumn Frost is remembered for her passion as a two-sport, student-athlete for Mississippi College.
"Autumn has been a multisport athlete that proves you can have it all," said head coach
Matthew Reneker. This consummate professional demonstrated excellence in both volleyball and track and field. Remarkable balance in technique and training but always bringing her very passionate desire in competition."
Frost competed in four different events during her time at Mississippi College. She competed in the shot put, weight throw, discus and javelin. She recorded her a collegiate best at the Gulf South Conference Indoor Championships in the shot put with a toss of 38'0.75". She added a collegiate best in the javelin at the Millsaps Major Quad last spring with a distance of 89.9".
The elementary education major is the daughter of Sharon and Joe Frost.
Every day for the next five weeks, we will recognize a senior for their contributions on and off the field for their respective programs. The baseball, softball, golf, tennis and track & field programs will all be represented in alphabetical order, regardless of sport.
