Choctaw Senior Spotlight: Force Choi (Golf)

CLINTON, Miss. --- Spring sports seniors across the nation had their collegiate careers cut short due to the COVID-19 pandemic.

A time-honored tradition across all athletic departments is to celebrate "Senior Day" by recognizing each of the members of their senior class for their efforts while a part of their program.

At Mississippi College, we wanted to let each one of our spring sports student-athletes have their own "Senior Day" to thank them for their time as Choctaws and Lady Choctaws. Their contributions to their teams and the athletic department will always be remembered.

FORCE CHOI --- GOLF

A native of Macau, China, Force Choi has been a mainstay atop the Mississippi College golf lineup in each of his four seasons with the Choctaws.

"Force has had the best work ethic of anyone I have ever coached," said head coach Ethan Doan. He is the definition of a leader and has helped grow the MC Golf program the last four years."

Force came into his senior season having been named Second Team All-Gulf South Conference in 2019 and is a three-time honoree on the GSC Academic Honor Roll. In the 2018-19 season, his average score of 73.33 and a 1.71 versus par was the top season in school history, besting his own mark of 74.6 and 3.08 versus par in 2017-18.

Choi is majoring in Business Administration at Mississippi College.

Every day for the next five weeks, we will recognize a senior for their contributions on and off the field for their respective programs. The baseball, softball, golf, tennis and track & field programs will all be represented in alphabetical order, regardless of sport.

PREVIOUS HONOREESGarret Ainsworth, Grant Barber, Morgan Bradford, Brandon Broussard, Chauncey Callier, Austin Chastang

Make sure to leave a message for these student-athletes on our social media pages (FacebookTwitter and Instagram) as we go along.
