ROCKWALL, Texas --- The Mississippi College men's golf team closed out its fall campaign this week at the DBU Classic, hosted by Dallas Baptist University at the Rockwall Golf and Athletic Club. The Choctaws battled through a competitive NCAA Division II field to finish 10th overall in the two-day, 54-hole event.

Led by Jack McKie, the Choctaws posted rounds of 305, 304, and 305 to conclude the tournament at 914 (+47). McKie provided consistent play throughout the week, carding three straight rounds in the mid-70s (78-75-75) to finish 12 over par and inside the top 50 individually.

Zach Robertson followed closely behind at plus 13, highlighted by a strong second round of 74 that helped him climb the leaderboard. Todd McKie and
Evan O'Doherty each finished at plus 14, with O'Doherty's opening-round 75 setting the tone early for the Blue and Gold.

Rounding out the lineup was
Linus Doverfors, who improved each day to post his best round of the tournament with a final-day 75 and finish at plus 19.

The Choctaws competed against several nationally ranked programs, including No. 9 St. Mary's (TX), which claimed the team title at nine under par, and No. 3 Central Oklahoma, which finished runner-up at one under.

MC returns to the Lone Star State to start the spring season at the Houston Classic on Monday, Feb. 9.
