Choctaw Senior Spotlight: Aneta Golawska (Tennis)

CLINTON, Miss. --- Spring sports seniors across the nation had their collegiate careers cut short due to the COVID-19 pandemic.

A time-honored tradition across all athletic departments is to celebrate "Senior Day" by recognizing each of the members of their senior class for their efforts while a part of their program.

At Mississippi College, we wanted to let each one of our spring sports student-athletes have their own "Senior Day" to thank them for their time as Choctaws and Lady Choctaws. Their contributions to their teams and the athletic department will always be remembered.

ANETA GOLAWSKA --- TENNIS

A native of Gdansk, Poland, Aneta Golawska has been at the top of the MC Women's Tennis lineup since arriving on campus in 2017

"Aneta has been such a consistent and successful player in her time with the program," said head coach David Boteler. "She helped lead us to the NCAA Tournament in 2018, and I believe we were headed in that direction again this year. While she is the only senior we are losing heading to next year, she will definitely leave some big shoes to be filled. She's been one of our best."

Golawska posted a 60-20 (.667) record in doubles play over her four seasons, including going 6-1 this year and 16-4 in 2019. She also posted a 46-22 record in singles play and was 6-2 when this season was cut short. Golawska was also named to the Gulf South Conference Academic Honor Roll in all three seasons on campus.

Golawska is majoring in Kinesiology (Sports Management).

Every day for the next five weeks, we will recognize a senior for their contributions on and off the field for their respective programs. The baseball, softball, golf, tennis and track & field programs will all be represented in alphabetical order, regardless of sport.
