Nomination for the Sports Hall of Fame 
 

Selection into the MC Sports Hall of Fame is one of the highest honors that a former athlete can receive from the University.  The Hall of Fame honors individuals whose achievements, dedication, and sportsmanship have left a lasting mark on Choctaw Sports history. Inductees represent athletic excellence — not only for their records, awards, and championships, but also for the character and perseverance, shown throughout their careers. The Hall of Fame preserves their stories and accomplishments as a source of inspiration for future generations, reminding us that greatness is built through commitment, teamwork, and an unwavering pursuit of excellence.

Nomination Criteria
Nominations for the Sports Hall of Fame should be made based on merit along with the following guidelines:

1.  Individuals must have brought significant distinction to his/herself and to MC because of successful athletic endeavors while at MC
2.  Individuals must have attained outstanding athletic accomplishments as a student athlete, coach, or administrator as a representative of MC


Student Athlete 
  •  Must have graduated from MC
  •  Must be out of the sport or away from the University for a minimum of five (5) years before becoming eligible for selection
  •  Must have met minimum requirements to earn at least one varsity letter or equivalent
  •  Nomination must be based on their superior athletic achievement while a student athlete at the University
Coach
  • Must have experienced outstanding achievement as a coach while at MC
  • Retired coach must be out of the sport or away from the University for a minimum of five (5) years before becoming eligible for selection
  • Active coach must have a minimum of ten (10) years of service to MC and may not be currently employed at MC
  • Nomination should be based on nationally recognized coach who has made a profound impact on the university's athletic program
Administrator
  • Administrative experiences must have resulted in outstanding achievements, accomplishments or contributions in ways relating to athletic or sports excellence while serving as an Administrator at MC.
  • Retired administrator must be away from the University for a minimum of five (5) years before becoming eligible for selection
  • Active administrator must have a minimum of ten (10) years of service to MC and may not be currently employed at MC
  • Nomination should be based on nationally recognized administrator's ability and one who brought distinction and honor to the University.
