Hardy Earns All-American Honors at NCAA Indoor Championships in Triple Jump

BIRMINGHAM, Ala. --- Mississippi College's Tytavia Hardy brought home the bronze medal at the NCAA Indoor National Championships on Saturday, March 13, in Birmingham, Ala., at the Birmingham Crossplex.

Hardy claimed NCAA All-American honors with the feat.
 
The Pensacola, Fla., native set a personal-best as she recorded a jump of 12.56 meters (41'2.5") to grab the honor. The distance came on her second attempt. She opened the event with a distance of 11.65 meters and logged a jump of 12.29 meters on her third attempt. The junior's fifth attempt resulted in an 11.79 and her sixth and final attempt logged 12.26 meters.
 
Hardy's previous best was the set at the Gulf South Conference Indoor Championships on Feb. 24 as she claimed a distance of 12.07 meters (39'7.25") – also at the Birmingham Crossplex.
