PITTSBURG, Kan. --- The Mississippi College men's and women's indoor track and field teams competed in the record-breaking field at the Wendy's/Pittsburg State University Invitational on Saturday, Feb. 1.

1,540 student-athletes representing 65 men's and women's squads competed in the meet, including eight men's teams ranked in the recent USTFCCCA NCAA Division II Top 25 and seven women's teams.

Tytavia Hardy had a busy meet competing in three events. The Pensacola, Fla., native placed third in the women's triple jump with a distance of 39'1.75. She added a 10th place finish in the women's high jump as she recorded a leap of 5'4.25 and followed that with a jump of 17'1.5 in the long jump to claim 19th.

Evan Del Rio and Daviciea McCartney each turned in top 10 finishes at the meet while the men's distance medley relay team finished fifth. Del Rio finished ninth in the men's 3,000 meters with a time of 8:30.69. He later joined the DMR squad along with Zach McMannus, Jordan Pritchard and Jake Russell to post a time of 10:31.67. McCartney turned in a jump of 22'8.5 in the men's long jump to finish ninth.

The men's 4x400 relay team of Rakeem Wilson, McCartney, Justin Jackson and Dalton Dempsey finished just outside the top 10 in 11th. The Choctaw foursome posted a time of 3:19.37.

Marina Rizk tied for 13th in the women's pole vault with a distance of 10'5.25. Madeline Campbell finished 16th in the women's 3,000 meters as she turned in a time of 10:30.32. Russell turned in a time of 4:24.22 in the men's mile to finish 19th while Emma Langley placed 19th in the women's mile with a time of 5:22.41. A.B. Williams came in 20th in the weight throw as he posted a distance of 51'1.
