Hardy Begins Quest for Track and Field National Championships

CLINTON, Miss. --- Mississippi College's Tytavia Hardy begins her quest for a NCAA Division II Outdoor Track and Field National Championship on Thursday, May 23 on the campus of Texas A&M University at Kingsville in Kingsville, Texas at Javelina Stadium.
 
Hardy's pursuit starts at 3 p.m. on Thursday in the women's long jump. Her hunt for the women's triple jump title is scheduled for 4:45 p.m. on Saturday, May 25.
 
The Pensacola, Fla., native is ranked 18th in the nation among long jumpers and sits 20th in the triple jump. Hardy's qualifying distance in the long jump was 19' 5.5" at the Mississippi College Twilight Invitational while her triple jump leap was 40' 3.25" at the Al Schmidt Bulldog Relays in Starkville, Miss. Her long jump distance is third in the Division II South Region while her triple jump mark is second.
 
Hardy joins teammate Andrea McDonald, Liz Laubenburg and Bridget Foreman as the only national qualifiers in program history.
 
Tickets are $30.00 for adults, $20.00 for students, seniors and youth for all-sessions. Single session tickets are $15.00 for adults and $10.00 for students, seniors and youth.
