CLINTON, Miss. --- Mississippi College sophomore Andrea McDonald was named Gulf South Conference Female Field Athlete of the Week, as announced by the conference on Wednesday, Apr. 12.
 
McDonald posted a NCAA Provisional Mark of 5'7 to win the high jump at the Rhodes College 7-Way. The jump marks a personal best for the New Orleans, La., native and is the best in the GSC this season by 2". She also finished second in the triple jump with a leap of 36' 5.5.
 
The honor is the second for the sophomore this season.
 
Mississippi College returns to action on Thursday, Apr. 20 in Gulf South Conference Championships. The three-day event will be held in Rome, Ga.
