CLINTON, Miss. --- The Mississippi College baseball team returns to Gulf South Conference action this weekend as it travels to Livingston, Ala., to face the University of West Alabama. First pitch of the Saturday doubleheader is set for 2 p.m. Sunday's finale is slated for 1 p.m.

CHOCTAW NOTES
Mississippi College recorded season-highs in runs and RBI en route to a 10-5 win over Arkansas-Monticello on Wednesday afternoon at Frierson Field at Dickins-Scoper Stadium. A pair of Choctaws also hit home runs in the contest to tie a season-best with two homers in game. Chance Whiteen blasted a three-run dinger to dead center while
Will Elliott added a solo shot. Whitten leads the team with three home runs on the season while Elliott sits in second with two.
Jake Fraze logged his second win of the season in the contest. The junior hurler pitched two innings in relief as he allowed two hits and a walk, but kept the Boll Weevils off the scoreboard. The Plano, Texas, native sits second on the team in strikeouts with 13 on the season in 16.0 innings of work - also second on the team.
Tommy Taborda also saw time on the bump against UAM. The Popano Beach, Fla., product tossed 3.0 innings - the most of any hurler during the game - as he struck out a pair and allowed one run on two hits. The sophomore leads the team in strikeouts this season with 18 in 18.1 innings.
Zack Ingram collected his 10th strikeout of the season in action against UAM. Ingram, who is third in innings this season with 14.1, fanned two in an inning of action on Wednesday.
Blaine Crim joined Elliott with multiple hit performances on Wednesday. Crim went 2-for-4 with a RBI and run scored.
Hunter Wilson added a multi-RBI night to join Whitten.

TIGERS NOTES
West Alabama logged its seventh win of the season with a 7-0 victory over Montevallo on Wednesday night. Three Tigers recorded multiple hits in the decision while the squad received a seven-inning start from Cole Waites. Waites struck out six and allowed just four hits. He leads the team with 0.00 ERA and has allowed just two runs on five hits this season with a team-best 12 strikeouts.
Three Tigers are hitting .400 or better this season led by Dylan Little with a .426 clip. Little is tied for tops on the team in hits with 20 and ranks second in RBI with 11. Luke Phillips is hitting .406 followed by Nick Delgado with a .400 clip and tied with Little in hits.
