CLINTON, Miss. --- The Mississippi College women's soccer team will close out the regular season on Friday night when they travel to Florence, Ala. to face North Alabama at 7:00 p.m.
The Lady Choctaws (9-7-1, 4-6-1 GSC) need a win or a draw against the Lions (11-2-1, 8-2 GSC) to advanced to the National Christian College Athletic Associaiton MidEast Regional.
MC split a pair of matches at Longabaugh Field last weekend, grabbing a 3-0 win over Spring Hill and falling to West Florida, 2-1. In the win over the Badgers, senior
Macey Lee became MC's all-time leader in points with 137. She scored her 58th career goal, which ties her with Jennifer Benson (2003-06) for the most in school history. Her two assists in the victory give her 21 in her career.

Sayit Mejia Bello leads the team with 10 goals scored and is tied for third with four assists. Senior
Melanie Benner has a team-high eight assists, giving her an MC record 31 in her career. She also leads the squad with three-game winning goals on the season. Senior
Kaitlyn Kiss has posted five goals with four assists on the season.

Melanie Hummert has started the last three matches after junior
Robin Cooper was injured. Hummer has posted a 1.48 goals against average with 26 saves in 424 minutes. She posted a shutout with four saves in the victory over Spring Hill. Senior

Caitlin Hayes lead the back line, combining for two goals and three assists on the season.
UNA has won five straight matches with four straight shutouts, outscoring their opponents 15-1 over that stretch. They are led offensively by junior Chloe Richards with 25 goals, which leads all of NCAA Division II. She has scored seven goals over the past two matches and is the only player on the team with more than two goals scored this season.
Senior Rachel Beninati has started eight matches in net for the Lions this season, starting each of the last four which have resulted in shutouts. She has posted a 0.31 goals against average with 32 saves and just three goals allowed in nearly 900 minutes.
This will be the first-ever meeting between Mississippi College and North Alabama.
