Zariah Matthews posted a season-high 11 points to lead the Mississippi College women’s basketball team to its third straight win of the season in an 88-64 victory over LeMoyne-Owen. The Bogue Chitto, Miss., native went 4-for-7 from the field, including hitting 33.3 percent from the behind the arc. Her shooting percentage helped lead MC to a season-best clip en route to the win over the Lady Magicians. The freshman also connected on both of her free throw attempts.
 
Mississippi College returns to action this weekend as it hits the road for a pair of Gulf South Conference contests. The Navy and Gold face Lee University on Thursday, Dec. 15 and conclude the road trip on Saturday, Dec. 17 against Shorter University.
