Senior Tylan Buckley helped lead the Mississippi College softball team to a 5-0 week, including a road series sweep of Christian Brothers in Memphis.
The Philadelphia, Miss. native hit .400 with two home runs, a double and nine RBI. She also scored four runs and stole two bases in the five games.
Buckley's big game came in the series finale at CBU as she went 3-for-3 with five RBI, finishing just a triple short of a cycle with a home run, a double, a single and a sacrifice fly. The MC first baseman also went 1-for-2 with a home run and two RBI in the nightcap of a doubleheader on Saturday.
Buckley and the Lady Choctaws will be back in action on Wednesday when they travel to Hattiesburg for a doubleheader with William Carey. They will then host West Georgia for a three-game series at the MC Softball Complex this weekend.
