Nichols (Orange City, Fla.) was pivotal for the Lady Choctaws in their series victory over the University of West Florida this past weekend. The sophomore right-handed hurler (4-2) picked up two complete-game victories for the Lady Choctaws, while striking out seven and walking only two batters in 14 innings of work over the weekend.

After dropping game one, Nichols led the Lady Choctaws to a 4-1 victory over the Argos in game two of a Saturday double-header, striking out five and allowing only one earned run in her third complete-game effort of the season. Â Nichols sealed the series for MC in a 5-1 victory in game three on Sunday, allowing zero earned runs and striking out two in her fourth complete game of the season. Â The Lady Choctaws will return to action on Saturday, Feb. 25 when they travel to Livingston, Ala. for a three game GSC-series against the University of West Alabama.
