MCCORMICK, S.C. --- Mississippi College finished seventh at the Savannah Lakes Women's Invitational, led by a top-15 finish from
Ashlynd Madden with a three-round total of 223.
Madden led the Choctaws as she finished tied for 12th, recording a seven over par. Madden improved each round, culminating in a final round of 71 (-1), which was the team's lowest round of the tournament.
Sydney Moss tied for 21st place, finishing with a total score of 226 (+10). Moss shot an even-par 72 in the second round, contributing significantly to the team's score.
Allie Myers secured a 28th place finish, closing the tournament with a total of 227 (+11). Myers' consistent play was highlighted by a second-round score of 73 (+1), matching the team's second-best round performance.
Suwanna McPhee ended tied for 45th with a 234 (+18) final score. McPhee bounced back in the second round with a 75 (+3), improving from her opening round.
Sofia Mendez completed the event in 59th place with a score of 239 (+23). Despite a challenging opening round, Mendez maintained her performance in the subsequent rounds.
Mississippi College returns to action on Monday, Oct. 13 as it travels to State University, Ark., for the Arkansas State hosted, Lady Wolves Classic.
