JONESBORO, Ark. --- Mississippi College concluded the Lady Red Wolves Classic in 15th place. MC totaled a 903 over the three rounds of the Arkansas State University hosted event, against stiff Division I competition.
Sofia Mendez and
Ashlynd Madden led the way for the Choctaws, both tying for 37th with scores of 222 (+6).Â
Mendez opened with a 74 (+2) in the first round, improved to a 73 (+1) in the second, and concluded with a 75 (+3) in the final round. Madden carded an opening round of 71 (-1), followed by a 77 (+5) and a concluded her tournament with a 74 (+2) on Tuesday.
Sydney Moss finished tied for 68th with a total score of 228 (+12). She shot a 76 (+4) to open the tournament, followed by a 77 (+5), and a final round of 75 (+3). Ana Quintanilla Gutiérrez placed 93rd with a score of 236 (+20) while
Allie Myers ended in 96th place, recording a final score of 237 (+21).
The University of Louisiana at Monroe took home the team title with an 845 over the two days. The University of Memphis finished second with an 866 while Morehead State University was third with an 867.
MC returns to action on Monday, Oct. 27 as it finishes its fall season at The Judson, hosted by the University of Southern Mississippi.
