MEMPHIS, Tenn. -- The Mississippi College Choctaws went to Memphis, Tenn. Thursday night and knocked off Christian Brothers by a final score of 65-53.
It was the Choctaws that held the momentum in the first half, as Mississippi College held a five-point lead over CBU heading into the break, with MC controlling the scoreboard, 35-30.
Judah Jordan led MC at the break with 10 points on 3-of-5 shooting and three steals. In the second half of play, MC jumped its lead out to double-digits with a 50-40 advantage with ten minutes remaining in the game.
The Choctaws went on to win the contest, knocking off Christian Brothers by a final score of 65-53 to earn the double-digit win in Memphis Thursday night in GSC play.
MC had three scorers with 10+ in the game, led by Jordan finished with 16 points. Jordan had a team best five three pointers made in Thursday nights win.
Galen Smith had 15 points and a team best seven rebounds.
Miles Miller finished with a double-double with 12 points and a team best 10 assists on the night. Miller also had three three-pointers made. Both Jordan and Miller combined for eight three-pointers made on the night.
The Choctaws shot 24-of-52 from the floor, including knocking down 11 three-pointers. MC improves to 5-16 overall and 3-11 in GSC play with the win. The Choctaws continue the weekend with road trip to #22 Union on Saturday with tip-off set for 4 p.m. CST in Jackson, Tenn.
