JACKSON, TENN. -- Mississippi College fell to #22 Union Saturday evening in Gulf South Conference play by a final score of 87-63.
Nationally ranked Union took control early of the outcome, outscoring MC 44-34 in the first half of play, before heating up offensively in the second half as they outscored MC 43-29.
Union finished the contest shooting 35-of-58 from the floor compared to the Choctaws 24-of-59 shooting. MC was led by
Miles Miller with 20 points on the evening, including 8-of-17 shooting and 4-of-8 from three-point range. Miller also had a team best four assists and five rebounds against Union.
Antonio Cowart Jr. had 15 points in 39 minutes of action, finishing 3-of-5 from three-point range.
Judah Jordan totaled 16 points with three assists.
The Choctaws fall to 5-16 overall on the season and and 3-12 in GSC play. They will return home on Thursday, February 17, versus Montevallo. Tip-off is set for 7:30 p.m. at A.E. Wood Coliseum in Clinton, Miss.
