CLINTON, Miss. -- One second was the difference in Monday night's Gulf South Conference matchup between the Mississippi College Choctaws and the visiting West Georgia Wolves, as UWG won on a last second shot, 59-58.
In a night that saw the Choctaws lead for 37 minutes, never trailing once, it was that one second that made up the difference in the final outcome, as UWG's Seth Brown Carter drove down the court, laying up a final shot with 0.7 left to give the Wolves the lead and ultimate win.  Â

Mississippi College finished 23-of-43 from the field, shooting 54.8 percent. The Choctaws connected on 6-of-12 three-pointers while producing 26 points in the paint and 30 rebounds.Â
MC was led by
Galen Smith who tallied 15 points on the night on 7-of-9 shooting.
Miles Millers had 13 points of 5-of-10 shooting, 3-of-6 from three-point range, along with four rebounds, seven assists, and two steals.
Judah Jordan had nine points and five rebounds, while teammate Antonio Cowart Jr. had six points and a team best 10 rebounds, and one blocked shot.Â
Mississippi College will get another shot at the Wolves as they return to the court on Saturday with a road matchup at West Georgia. Tip-off is set for 1 p.m. in Carrolton, Ga.Â
