CLEVELAND, Tenn. --- The Mississippi College women's outdoor track and field team finished fifth at the Lee University-hosted Flames Invitational. The Lady Choctaws finished with 40 points during the two-day event.

Tiffin University was the top women's team at the meet with 132 points. 21st-ranked Lee University finished second with 107.5 points. Wingate University was third with 73 points while ninth-ranked Queens (N.C.) University was fourth with 52 points.

Mississippi College returns to action on Saturday, April 17 as it travels inside the Jackson-metro area to take part in the Belhaven University Invitational.

Jazmin Hernandez set the school record in the 5,000 meters. She posted a time of 17:33.78 and finished ninth in the event.

TOP 10 FINISHES

Tytavia Hardy recorded a pair of second-place finishes and added a fourth-place finish in the high jump. Hardy posted a distance of 5.60 meters in the long jump to finish second and she notched a distance of 12.07 meters in the triple jump to also take silver. Her leap of 1.65 meters came in the high jump.
- Hernandez finished second in the Invitational 1,500 meters with a time of 4:42.56 while
Madeline Campbell placed fourth in the event as she clocked a 5:10.53.

Emma Langley turned in a time of 2:16.38 in the 800 meters as she finished fifth in the event. She also finished eighth in the 1,500 meters with a time of 4:41.77.

Ereyonna Gore finished ninth in the 400 meters as she posted a time of 59.39.
