HATTIESBURG, Miss. --- Zairia Brown set the school record in the women's 400 meters as the Mississippi College outdoor track and field teams concluded its regular season at the University of Southern Mississippi Open on Saturday, April 27.

Brown posted a time of 55.06 as she claimed seventh in the event. The record surpassed the previous record of Evu Young and
Kiana Grant, who each posted a time of 57.91.

- Tytavia Hardy finished eighth in the women's high jump with a distance of 5'5.
- Madeline Campbell finished sixth in the women's 800 meters with a 2:24.72.
- Al Ferrill placed fourth in the men's shot put with a throw of 49'7.75. A.B. Williams finished eighth with a toss of 46'6.25 and Coby Kirchharr was 10th with a 44'4.75.
- Zach McMannus finished eighth in the men's long jump with a leap of 6.96 meters while Luke Hodnett was 10 with a distance of 6.80 meters.
- Jordan Pritchard took silver in the men's 1,500 meters with a time of 3:52.12. Evan Del Rio finished sixth (3:55.49) while Jake Russell was eighth (4:02.53).
- Eriq Dismuke was fifth in the men's 800 meters with a time of 1:58.49. Dalton Dempsey took seventh with a 1:59.61.
- Garrett McGregor finished third in the men's 3,000 meter steeplechase with a time of 10:35.77.
Mississippi College returns to action on Thursday, May 2 at the Gulf South Conference Championship in Rome, Ga., and the campus of Shorter University.
