JACKSON, Miss. --- The No. 18 Mississippi College baseball team completed a Gulf South Conference series sweep as the Choctaws run-ruled the University of West Georgia, 14-4, on Monday, Feb. 25 at Smith-Wills Stadium.

Three Choctaws recorded multiple hits and multiple RBI in the win led by
Blaine Crim's 4-for-5 afternoon with four RBI and four runs scored.
Chauncey Callier led the team with five RBI in the contest going 3-for-4 at the plate and
Billy Cameron added a trio of hits and three RBI.

Garrett Hollinghead (3-0) remained undefeated on the mound as he struck out seven in six innings of action.

HOW IT HAPPENED
- Mississippi College jumped on the board early with three runs in its first at-bat. Cameron headlined the inning with a two-run home run off the Smith-Wills Stadium scoreboard. Blaine Crim started the scoring with a RBI single up the middle that scored Grant Barber.
- The Choctaws added a four spot in the third frame as Crim, Cameron, Ty Alderman and Dustan Dille each logged an RBI in the frame to push the lead to 7-0.
- MC added its second, three-run inning in the fourth. Crim drove in a pair with a double down the left field line and Callier capped the scoring with a sacrifice fly to center that scored Crim.
- West Georgia plated its first run of the game in the fifth as Brian Dansereau hit a solo home run to start a two-run inning. Brady Barnes followed with a RBI-single to cut the lead to 10-2.
- Callier connected on the second home run of the day for the Choctaws with a two-run shot in the sixth to place MC back up double-digits.
- After UWG extended the game with a run in the seventh and another in the eighth, Callier singled up through the left side to record the walk-off win.

ON THE MOUND
- Hollinghead allowed two runs on five hits and didn't surrender a walk in the start.
- Austin Chastang and Christian Bellew each tossed in an inning relief. Chastang allowed one run on three hits while Bellew allowed a run on one hit along with three walks.

- Crim's four-hit performance is tied for second-most in the GSC this season.
- Callier's five-RBI effort is tied for best in the conference this season.
- The sweep is the second of the season for the program and first since sweeping Harding to open the season.
- It's the first, GSC sweep for the Choctaws since Sunday, March 4 at Shorter.
- The game marked the first 10-run rule since Feb. 19 against McKendree, a 21-1 victory in Clinton.
