Mississippi College (26-10, 15-7) will welcome to Boll Weevils of Arkansas-Monticello (27-12, 21-6 GAC) to Clinton on Tuesday, April 17 for a midweek clash. The Choctaws hold an all-time advantage of 18-11 in the series, including an 11-8 win in Monticello in their most recent meeting on February 20 earlier in the season.

In their most recent work, the Choctaws took both games of a shortened GSC series at UAH on Friday, April 13, with a 12-6 game one win, and a come-from-behind 6-5 victory in game two in extras.

Blaine Crim's 385 batting average leads the Choctaws, who are hitting .324 as a unit. Crim also leads MC in total hits (55), home runs (7) and runs batted in (42), while
Kyle Smith leads the Choctaws and ranks among the GSC's best in doubles (12), runs scored (43) and on-base percentage (.483).

Chris Crosby (4-3) has posted a team-best 63 strikeouts in a team-high 64 innings pitched.
Hunter Mullis (5-2) paces the Choctaw staff, with five wins on the season.

Ryan Lane an
Austin Chastang have combined for seven of the Choctaws 11 saves on the season. Chastang's opponents' batting average of .200 marks for the team low.

The Choctaws checked in at number nine in the most recent South Regional Rankings compiled by the NCBWA on April 9.Â

The Boll Weevils dropped two of three games at Arkansas Tech this past weekend in GSC action, including a 15-7 loss in game three of the series.

The Boll Weevils checked in at 16 in the most recent Collegiate Baseball Rankings, while ranking tied for 15th in the most recent poll compiled by the NCBWA.
Arkansas Monticello comes into the contest hitting .330 as a team, while leading the Great American Conference with 66 homers as a team. Â
Ten different player for UAM have recorded a home run, including six players who have knocked at least eight home runs on the season. Jordan Johnson (11) and Sean Wagner (10) pace the Boll Weevils in home run totals.

The Boll Weevils pitching staff posts an earned run average of 5.78 heading into the midweek matchup. Starter Michael Harrison (6-0) paces UAM in wins (6), innings pitched (63.1), and complete games (2).

Reliever Dawson Moser (4-1) boasts a team-low 2.40 ERA, in addition to  posting the lowest opponent's batting average (.213) and sitting second on the team in strikeouts (45)
