Rain Forces Saturday Baseball-Softball Cancellations at UAH

HUNTSVILLE, Ala. --- Due to heavy rain in the Huntsville area on Saturday (April 14) morning the baseball and softball series finales at UAH have been canceled with no make-up dates.

The softball game had begun and was in the top of the third inning when play was halted. The #22 Chargers swept a doubleheader on Friday, but junior Kristen Qualls set MC's career-home run record with her 28th long ball.

Baseball was canceled before things began on Saturday morning. MC picked up a doubleheader sweep of UAH on Friday, coming back from a 5-2 deficit in the late innings to grab a 6-5 victory in the nightcap.

The Lady Choctaws will be back in action on Saturday when they host West Alabama for the final home games of the season.

The Choctaws will welcome Arkansas-Monticello to Clinton on Tuesday (April 17) for a single game at 6:00 p.m. at Dickins-Scoper Stadium. MC will then play their final home GSC series of the year next weekend when they host UWA.
