CLINTON, Miss. --- The Mississippi College track and field teams open the 2019 indoor season on Friday, Nov. 30 at the Birmingham-Southern College Panther Icebreaker Invitational. The event is scheduled to begin at 9 a.m. for the Birmingham CrossPlex.

"We are excited to finally get the season underway. We have a lot of freshmen on the team this year and are looking forward to seeing them compete," said head coach
Butch Ard. "This meet is always a good meet for us. The team has been working out since September and it will be good for them to finally get to compete before they go home for Christmas break."

Teams competing on the women's side include Alabama A&M, Alabama State, Brenau University, Bryan College, Central Arkansas, Clayton State, Embry-Riddle, Emory University, Florida A&M, Georgia State, Georgia Tech, Hendrix College, Lee (Tenn.). Millsaps College, Mobile, Montevallo, Oglethorpe University, Rhodes College, Shorter, Southeastern University, Troy, Tulane, UAB, Tennessee Chattanooga, Texas-Tyler and William Carey.
