CLINTON, Miss. --- The Mississippi College volleyball team returns to action on Tuesday, Sept. 26 as it travels to Jackson, Tenn., to face Union University. First whistle is set for 6 p.m.
•   Mississippi College looks for its first win in the series with Union on Tuesday as the Lady Bulldogs have claimed all six meetings since MC's return to Division II and the Gulf South Conference.

•   Tuesday's road trip is the first of three away from A.E. Wood Coliseum for the Lady Choctaws. MC closes out the week with a road swing that includes Shorter University and Lee University this weekend.

•   The Lady Choctaws look to rebound from a straight sets setback to the University of West Alabama on Saturday at A.E. Wood Coliseum. The stumbling block was the first at home for the Navy and Gold this season.

Hannah Ward paced the Lady Choctaws offensively against UWA. The Grand Prairie, Texas native posted a team-best five kills in her debut and also recorded a pair of digs in the effort.

Ashton King took over sole possession of 10th in the career kills category. The Collierville, Tenn., native recorded two kills in the match against West Alabama. King has 486 kills in her four seasons in Clinton and is six kills from catching Jennifer Braswell in ninth with 492 career kills.

Autumn Frost recorded her first career dig in the effort against West Alabama. Frost logged a pair of digs in the match.

•   Several Choctaws have made their mark among the GSC Statistical Leaders.
Shelby Grace Mays ranks second in the conference in service aces with 0.58 per set and is 10th in kills per set with 2.88.
Sydney Chandler sits seventh in the league in aces per set with 0.41 while
Kayana Mitchell is sixth in blocks with 0.89 per set.

•   Union enters the midweek affair riding a three-game, losing streak - all in GSC action. The Red and White dropped a pair of four-set matches to Lee and Christian Brothers and fell in five sets to Shorter.

•   A quartet leads Union offensively with 100-plus kills this season. Katie O'Malley leads the group with 163 kills followed by Christa Karns with 118. Ceciley Blanchard and Abbie Rahn round out the foursome with 108 and 107 kills respectively. Blanchard and Karns also lead the effort on the defensive side of the net. Blanchard has a team-best 33 blocks while Karns has posted 31.
