CLINTON, Miss. --- The Mississippi College women's basketball team returns to Gulf South Conference action on Saturday, Feb. 25 as it travels to Livingston, Ala., to face the University of West Alabama. Tip-off for the pivotal, conference contest is slated for 2 p.m.

Mississippi College and West Alabama meet for the 22nd time in history on Saturday afternoon. MC holds an 11-10 advantage in the series following a 75-72 win earlier this season. The Lady Choctaws' victory on Jan. 7 snapped a four-game skid to the Red and White.

MISSISSIPPI COLLEGE NOTES
Mississippi College looks for its first win in Livingston, Ala., since Feb. 12, 1997 - the last time the two squads played prior to the renewal of the series in 2014. MC topped UWA 57-56.
A pair of Lady Choctaws posted double figures on Thursday afternoon at West Georgia. Lanae Bickham led the team with 15 points - all from behind the arc - while
Ashley Minor tabbed in 13 points and dished out a season-best five assists in the setback.
Kaitlyn Thompson scored eight points - third on the team - and pulled down six boards - second most on the squad - in a season-high 26 minutes at West Georgia. The Cleveland, Miss., freshman also posted a season-best two steals and tied a season-high with two blocks.
MC enters the game as the conference leader in assists as the squad averages 14.5 per game. The Lady Choctaws also rank second in steals with 9.92 per contest - just shy of North Alabama's 9.96.
WEST ALABAMA NOTES
Ariel Wilson led West Alabama with 18 points as the Tigers dropped a 60-57 contest on Thursday to Delta State. Sydney King added 14 points in the loss.
The Tigers rank as the top 3-point shooting team in the GSC this season. The Red and White are shooting 35.3 percent entering Saturday's contest - besting Christian Brothers and Union by two percent.
