THE SERIES
• Mississippi College and West Alabama meet for the 23rd time in series history on Saturday. The series stands deadlocked at 11 wins with both teams holding their own on their home floor.

• West Alabama has claimed the five of the last six meetings, including a 67-57 victory in Livingston on Feb. 25, 2017. The Lady Choctaws took a 75-72 victory in Clinton last season and snapped a four-game slide to the Tigers.

• Mississippi College is 72-54 all-time against schools from the State of Alabama, including a 24-24 mark against GSC institutions hailing from the Yellowhammer State.

• Saturday's contest is the first meeting in a home-and-home series with West Alabama this season. The Lady Choctaws travel to Livingston, Ala., on Saturday, Feb. 10.
GAME NOTESÂ
• Mississippi College snapped a four-game slide on Tuesday at Tougaloo with a 71-55 win - the eighth against the Lady Bulldogs in series history. MC shot 50 percent from the field - the second-best average this season for the Navy and Gold.

• A pair of Lady Choctaws scored in double figures at Tougaloo led by
Kelley Allen with 17 points. The Puckett, Miss., native also grabbed 16 rebounds, tying a career-high, for her third double-double this season and eighth of her career.

Ieisha Lacey also scored in double figures with 15 points. The Jackson, Miss., product has scored in double figures four times this season and six in her career.

Jamilah Sanders reset season-highs in points and rebounds on Tuesday. The Canton, Miss., native scored six points and pulled down nine boards.
Moriah Hurst recorded her first, collegiate block in the contest.
Lauran Sheriff tallied season-highs with three assists and two blocks against the Lady Bulldogs.

• A quartet of Lady Choctaws are averaging double figures in the scoring column this season led by Allen's 21 points. The senior is also averaging 13.3 rebounds. Allen ranks as one of three players in the GSC averaging a double-double this season (Kenya Samone'-Dixon, Valdosta State; Courtney Meyer, West Florida).

• Lacey sits second on the team in scoring with 11.6 points per game followed by
Emery Wilson with 11. Sheriff wraps up the group with 10.9 points per contest.

• Mississippi College ranks in the top in assists and blocked shots in the GSC. The Lady Choctaws average 16.2 assists per game, which ranks third in the conference, and 3.1 blocks, which stands fourth in the league. West Alabama ranks fifth in blocked shots with 3.0 per game.

• West Alabama stopped a three-game slide on Sunday with a 62-55 win over the University of Alabama in Huntsville. The victory stopped a skid that included losses to Nova Southeastern, Embry Riddle and North Alabama. The Tigers stand 3-5 on the season and 1-1 in the GSC.

• Tazsa Garrett-Hammett leads the Red and White with 14.0 points and 7.0 rebounds per game. Garrett-Hammett is a three-time GSC Freshman of the Week selection. J'Nyiah Daniels ranks second on the team with 12.0 points per contest.
