CLINTON, Miss. --- The Mississippi College women's basketball team returns to the hardwood on Tuesday, Dec. 5 as it travels to Tougaloo, Miss., to face Tougaloo College in non-conference action. Tip-off is set for 6 p.m.
THE SERIES
The Lady Choctaws (2-4) look to snap a four-game slide this season and pick up its seventh win in the series against TC. Tuesday's tilt is the first of a home-and-home series with the Lady Bulldogs this season as Tougaloo makes a return trip to Clinton on Saturday, Dec. 30.

Tuesday's meeting is just the second time MC has traveled to Tougaloo with the first meeting on the Lady Bulldogs' home floor came in the last meeting, a 66-62 win on Jan. 16, 2017.

The Navy and Gold dropped a 71-54 decision against Christian Brothers on Saturday.
Kelley Allen added her seventh, career double-double with 17 points and 10 rebounds. Both marks tied for tops on the team as
Ieisha Lacey grabbed 10 boards and
Lauran Sheriff provided 17 points.

Allen leads a quartet of Lady Choctaws in double figures with 23.0 points per game. The Puckett, Miss., native averages 12.0 rebounds – also tops on the team. The senior forward is one of three players in the Gulf South Conference averaging a double-double this season.

Sheriff sits second on the team in scoring average with 11.7 points while Lacey and
Emery Wilson each average 11.0 points per contest.
Zariah Matthews sits just outside the group with 9.7 points per game.

Zan Ratcliffe and Lacey rank among the leaders in the GSC in assists. Ratcliffe averages 4.6 per outing – which ranks tied for third – while Lacey is fifth with 3.7. Lacey also ranks third in minutes per game in the league as the sophomore averages 34.7 per game.

Tougaloo enters Tuesday having claimed three of its last four contests, including a pair of wins over Selma University and a road victory at Rust College. The lone slip during the stretch came at Alcorn State, 76-64. TC (3-5) opened the campaign with four, consecutive losses.

Montoria Atkinson leads the Lady Bulldogs as the senior averages 12.4 points and 12.4 rebounds per game. Atkinson posted 11 points in the win against Selma on Saturday. Melissa Creese ranks second on the team in scoring with 10.5 points per contest for the Red and Blue. Creese led TC with 18 points against Selma.
