THE SERIES
•   Saturday's meeting is the eighth in the series between Mississippi College and Tougaloo College. MC holds the all-time advantage at 7-0. The Navy and Gold looks to complete a season sweep of the Bulldogs as MC won 71-55 at Tougaloo earlier this month in just the second meeting between the two squads at TC. The Lady Choctaws have claimed five meetings on their home floor in the series.

MISSISSIPPI COLLEGE NOTES
•   Mississippi College looks to close out 2017 with a win and snap a two-game skid heading into Saturday. MC fell in pair of road, conference contests to finish the pre-Christmas break part of the slate. The Lady Choctaws dropped a 57-55 decision at West Georgia on Dec. 16 and followed with a 60-57 setback at Auburn Montgomery on Dec. 18.

Lauran Sheriff led MC in the stumble at AUM. The Jackson, Miss., native posted her first, collegiate double-double with 16 points and 11 rebounds against the Warhawks. The center became just the third Lady Choctaw to notch a double-double this season as teammate
Kelley Allen has a team-best, three this season while fellow newcomer
Emery Wilson recorded her first, collegiate double-double on Nov. 14 in the season opener at Southern-New Orleans.

Zan Ratcliffe joined Sheriff in double-digits with 12 points at AUM. The junior transfer has scored in double figures in four contests this season with the last coming on Nov. 30 against Union, where she tied a season-high with 14 points.

Zariah Matthews recorded a career-high with six assists and tied a career mark with a block while
Jamilah Sanders also scored a season-high with eight points.
Kaitlyn Thompson equaled a career-high with a pair of blocks.
•   Five Lady Choctaws average double figures scoring this season led by Allen's 12.8 points.
Ieisha Lacey ranks just behind Allen with 12.0 points per game. Sheriff's 11.2 points per contest ranks third on the team followed by
Emery Wilson with 12 points. Matthews concludes the group with 10.2 points per game.
•   Allen leads the team with 11.3 rebounds per contest this season. The Puckett, Miss., senior stands as the only player in the Gulf South Conference with a double-double on the team.

TOUGALOO NOTES
•   Tougaloo enters Saturday with riding a two-game win streak following wins over Concordia College-Selma (87-36) and at Millsaps College (65-69). The Bulldogs last loss came against Mississippi College earlier this season.
•   Montoria Atkinson leads Tougaloo with 14.4 points this season. The forward from Jackson, Miss., has scored in double figures in nine of the 10 contests this season, including a season-high 22 against Concordia College. The lone outing with single-digits came against Louisiana State-Shreveport. Atkinson scored a team-best 21 points in the game against the Lady Choctaws in the earlier meeting this season. Atkinson also leads the Red and Blue on the glass with 12.5 rebounds per game.
•   Melissa Creese returns to A.E. Wood Coliseum for the first time since Feb. 18, 2017. Creese suited up for the Lady Choctaws last season as she played in 17 contests. The sophomore guard averages 9.3 points per game this season for Tougaloo and ranks second on the team in scoring.
•   Four Tougaloo players scored in double figures in its win at Millsaps College led by Atkinson's 16 points. Debraia Bell posted 15 points followed by 11 from Jermani Thompson. Chesha Lewis rounded out the quartet with 10 points.
