CLINTON, Miss. --- The Mississippi College men's basketball team will head to the Crescent City on Tuesday to face Southern University-New Orleans. Tip-off at The Castle is scheduled for 7:00 p.m.
The Choctaws (0-2) and the Knights (0-3) will meet for the first time. The teams are scheduled to play in Clinton on Monday, November 20th.
MC is coming off a couple losses at the Daytona Mitsubishi/Kia Shootout in Daytona Beach, Fla. The Choctaws fell to Embry-Riddle (92-73) on Friday and lost to Palm Beach Atlantic (101-87) on Saturday. Senior
Stacey Mack averaged 15.0 points and 3.5 rebounds, while sophomore
Brandon Boston averaged 11.0 points and 6.0 boards.
The Knights played against Southern Miss on Friday, falling to the Golden Eagles, 79-69. SUNO outscored USM 42-39 in the second half, led by D'ante Russell-Hall with 13 points and seven rebounds. The Knights shot 35% from the field and went 11-of-38 (29%) from the three-point line.
Mississippi College is a private Christian university located in Clinton, Mississippi with an enrollment of over 5,000 students. MC is recently finished their transition process back to NCAA Division II and the Gulf South Conference and will be competing for conference and national championships in the 2016-17 academic year.
