CLINTON, Miss. --- The Mississippi College volleyball team returns to Gulf South Conference action on Tuesday, Oct. 31 as it travels to Carrollton, Ga., to face the University of West Georgia. Match time is slated for 5 p.m. central.
Mississippi College enters the midweek contest against West Georgia riding a six-match slide, including five straight in Gulf South Conference play.

Mississippi College looks to avenge a 3-0 loss to West Georgia on Oct. 6 in Clinton. The stumble snapped a four-match win streak for the Lady Choctaws against UWG. MC is 2-2 in series history against on the Wolves' home floor.

Tuesday's contest marks the first of three, road contests for the Navy and Gold to close out the 2017 season. MC has road outings against West Alabama on Saturday, Nov. 4 and North Alabama on Saturday, Nov. 11. The lone remaining home game on the slate comes on Thursday, Nov. 9 against Union.

The Lady Choctaws dropped a pair of straight sets contests over the weekend to North Alabama and Alabama-Huntsville. Freshman Brandy Bundy logged a season-high 10 digs in the loss to UNA while
Krista Zieschang paced the squad offensively with 11 kills in each of the matches. The 22 total kills moved the Houston, Texas, native into the top 10 in program history in ninth with 512.

Madison Kimes is 30 digs away from moving into second in program history. Amanda Greene holds second on the list with 965 while Kimes has totaled 935 in her four seasons. Head coach
Holly Tupper is the program record holder at 1,825. Senior
Sydney Chandler sits seventh on the list with 721 and is 26 away from tying Stephanie Whitley in sixth.

Kayana Mitchell and Zieschang lead the Lady Choctaws offensively. Mitchell has a team-best 179 kills while Zieschang sits second on the team with 165. Chandler and
Amanda Torres have combined for 854 of the team's 991 assists. Chandler has posted a team-leading 478 assists while Torres is second on the team with 376.

Defensively, Mitchell has a team-best 70 total blocks while
Jill Brown has tallied 263 digs followed by Kimes with 195 and Chandler with 192.
Julia Martin ranks third on the team with 184 digs this season.
Autumn Frost ranks second on the team in total blocks with 35.

West Georgia dropped a pair of contests over the weekend against Montevallo (3-0) and Augusta State (3-1). The Red and Blue snapped an eight-match losing streak on Friday, Oct. 27 with a 3-0 win over Tuskegee.

Anjeline Webb leads the Wolves' offense with 275 kills while McKenna Wharton and Faith Pearson have each tallied 100-plus kills this season. Madi Fleming has directed the offense with 481 assists. Niah Bruce and Jaylen Daffin have guided the defense. Bruce has registered 52 total blocks while Daffin has recorded 298 digs.
