#10 Moment from 2015-16 Season: Kristen Sampson's Career Night vs. North Alabama

CLINTON, Miss. --- The 2015-16 Mississippi College athletics season was full of extraordinary moments both on and off the fields of play.

The Office of Athletic Communications, comprised of David Nichols and Kyle Lewis, along with a week-long Twitter poll, came together to compose a list of the "Top 10 Moments" on the court, field and track.

While there were many moments this season that had Mississippi College alumni, students and fans proud of their Choctaws and Lady Choctaws, here's the list of the absolute best.

No. 10 --- Kristen Sampson's remarkable scoring night against North Alabama in A.E. Woods Coliseum.

Kristen Sampson had a successful two-year stint at Mississippi College as she etched her name into the Lady Choctaws' record book. The Jackson, Miss., native compiled 700 points in her career to finish ranked 30th in program history. Sampson also finished ninth in career scoring percentage (13.7 ppg), fourth in career 3-point field goals made (68), seventh in career 3-point field goals attempted (177) and second in career 3-point field goal percentage (38.4).

Among her top accomplishments from the 2015-16 campaign, Sampson scored a career-high 32 points en route to a 91-80 win over North Alabama on Jan. 4. The scoring effort was the first 30-plus point game for a Lady Choctaw since Rosemary Green's 30 points against Howard Payne on Jan. 12, 2008. The point total surpassed her previous career-high of 25 points against Lane College on Nov. 21, 2014. Sampson finished the night with nine rebounds, six assists and three assists while shooting 78.4 percent from the field (11-of-14) and 90 percent from the free throw line (9-of-10). Read more about it here.

Sampson finished with 23 double figure scoring efforts during the 2015-16 season and 41 for her career.

Stay tuned on Tuesday, June 14 when the number nine moment is released.
