MEMPHIS, Tenn. --- The Mississippi College baseball team will look to build off their opening weekend series sweep of Tougaloo as they travel to face LeMoyne-Owen College in a doubleheader on Tuesday afternoon. The teams are scheduled to start the first game at 2:00 p.m., and the games will be played at Gagliano Field.
This will be the 10th meeting between the two teams, dating back to the 1972 season. They have not played since the season-opener in 1996 when they split a doubleheader with LOC winning the first game, 5-4, and the Choctaws bouncing back for a 16-1 win in the second game.
The Choctaws (3-0) opened the seasons with three straight wins over Tougaloo, outscoring the Bulldogs by a total of 51-9. Sophomore
Hunter Bolin went 6-for-9 at the plate with six runs scored and four stolen bases. Senior
Marty Stringfellow and junior
Garrett Odom each homered in the Saturday doubleheader, while junior

The MC pitching staff gave up just four earned run in 23 innings pitched, striking out 22 batters and walking just five. Senior
Brooks Fortenberry struck out eight batters in five innings, while junior
Taylor Olsen had six strikeouts in five innings.
The Choctaws are slated to start freshman

Kyle Cumlander in the two games on Tuesday. Fraze struck out four in four innings and picked off three Bulldog baserunners on the weekend. Cumlander is a transfer from Mississippi Gulf Coast Community College and is making his first appearance as a Choctaw.
The Magicians (0-5), a member of the Southern Intercollegiate Athletic Conference, have played two Gulf South Conference opponents in their first five games, dropping two games to Christian Brothers and all three games of the series to Lee. They will also face GSC squads North Alabama and Alabama Huntsville this season.
