CLINTON, Miss. --- The Mississippi College women's basketball teams returns from a two-game road trip to host the University of West Florida on Thursday afternoon at 1:00 p.m. in A.E. Wood Coliseum.
This will be the third meeting all-time between the two schools with MC winning both contests, which were played in the 1994-95 season. The Lady Choctaws picked up an 85-71 win in Pensacola before returning to Clinton to defeat the Argonauts, 84-64.

Paul Allen Duke earned his 336th win on Saturday afternoon against Christian Brothers, marking the 700th win in program history, dating back to 1970. Duke is the winningest coach in school history and has the highest winning percentage (.684). Coach Duke is also slated to coach his 500th career game this season. Currently, the game at West Alabama on January 24th is the projected date for the milestone.
The Lady Choctaws are coming off their first Gulf South Conference win since the 1995-96 season with a 56-45 victory over Christian Brothers on Saturday. MC held CBU to just 32% shooting from the field and 2-of-17 from the three-point line. Junior
Allie Hill scored a season-high 17 points, going 3-of-6 from the three-point line and 4-of-4 from the foul line.
Hill is averaging 13.5 points per game and shooting 6-of-13 from behind the arc over the past two games. Junior
Kristen Sampson scored 18 points on Thursday against Union and is the team leader with 12.4 points per contest. Junior
Ashley Minor tied a season-high with 15 points against CBU, also coming up with three steals and going 4-of-4 from the free throw line.
The Argonauts are led by head coach Stephanie Lawrence Yelton, who is in her third season at the helm and has UWF off to a 7-1 start and 4-0 mark to lead the Gulf South Conference. The Argos are only allowing 53.9 ppg, which leads the GSC, and opponents are only shooting 35% from the floor.
UWF has won four straight games after dropping their lone contest of the season to #20 Central Missouri, 58-52. Freshman Toni Brewer leads the team with 13.1 points and 9.8 rebounds per game. Kelly Preston averages 11.5 points and 5.0 rebounds per contest and leads the team wtih a .653 field goal percentage.
Katie Bobos (10.8 ppg) and Brianna Williams (10.0 ppg) are also scoring in double figures, while Williams has a team-high 27 steals and 24 assists.
