CLINTON, Miss. --- The Mississippi College women's basketball team is playing host this weekend to the FCA & Zaxby's Tip-Off Classic to be held in A.E. Wood Coliseum. All proceeds from the Classic will be given to the MC Chapter of FCA and be used to fund campus ministry needs (Bibles, college retreat scholarships, event needs, etc.).

The Lady Choctaws (2-0) will play on Friday night at 8:00 p.m. against
Lane (0-1) and on Saturday afternoon at 4:00 p.m. against Selma (0-3). Also making the trip to Clinton will be
Lindenwood (2-0), and they will play Friday at 6:00 p.m. against Selma and Saturday at 2:00 p.m. against Lane.
MC has opened the season with victories over Spring Hill College (65-50) and Selma (80-57). In the season-opening win over the Badgers, senior transfer
AnnMarie Harris tallied 12 points and 14 rebounds, while senior
Jaianah Matthew and junior
Ashley Minor each had 13 points. In the win over the Lady Bulldogs, junior
Kristen Sampson led the team with 12 points, while sophomore
Zaneta Kubicka had five points with 16 rebounds and three blocks.
Friday, November 21 – Games at 6 and 8pm (MC game is at 8pm)*Support MC FCA by coming to the Zaxby's Tipoff Classic!! All games will be played in A.E. Wood Coliseum. The tribes/clubs will select people to represent their tribe/club in the 3-point and knockout competitions during halftime of each game. We will also have a Bingo game for the audience to play and will be selling Zaxby's Tipoff Classic T-shirts for $10!
Saturday, November 22 – Games at 2 and 4pm (MC game is at 4pm)*We will host an FCA Game Day Rally at 11:30am before the games get started, featuring Peggie-Gillom Granderson (former Ole Miss player and coach who is in the Women's Basketball Hall of Fame). She will speak about her experience with basketball and how her faith played a role in those experiences. Anyone is welcome to attend. The rally will be held in A.E. Wood Coliseum.
Admission Prices: (purchase at the door)$5 – General Admission Tickets (all general admission tickets come with a Zaxby's coupon to redeem at the Zaxby's location in Clinton)
$3 – Student Tickets (all student tickets come with a meal deal discount for the concession stand. Discount = buy chips + drink, receive a Zaxby's sandwich for free)
