CLINTON, Miss. --- The Mississippi College volleyball team opened Saturday's match with a game one victory, but Union University came back for a four-set win in A.E. Wood Coliseum.
The Lady Choctaws (4-16, 0-13 GSC) went to extra points in the opening set, picking up a 26-24 victory before the Lady Bulldogs (5-14, 2-11 GSC) won the next two sets, 25-21 and 25-17. The fourth set went into extra points as Union walked away with the victory after winning, 31-29.
Freshman
Krista Zieschang set a new career-high with 13 kills and just two errors in 38 attacks. Freshman
Sydney Chandler nearly had a season-high with 23 assists. She posted 24 against Schreiner earlier this season. Senior
Holly Tupper had a team-high 18 digs, while Chandler posted 16.
Mallory Baker led Union with 11 kills, while Hannah Huguley had 10. Huguley also led the team with 20 assists, while Lydia Wright had 16. Elise Seufert led the team with 25 digs.
The Lady Choctaws will be back in action on Tuesday when they travel to face Centenary (LA) at 6:00 p.m.
