The Mississippi College women’s basketball team picked up a 72-63 win over Tougaloo College on Monday night giving MC an overall record of 2-1.  

Five Lady Choctaws scored in double figures led by a season-high 17 points from senior Kristen Sampson. The scoring effort marks the 21st contest in double-digits for the Jackson, Miss., native. Sampson had a career-high of four steals in the game while also setting a career-high of nine assists against Tougaloo.

The Lady Choctaws will start their Gulf South Conference play this week as they travel to Livingston, Ala. to face West Alabama at 6:00 p.m.
