The Mississippi College baseball team opened thier season on Saturday with a series sweep against Tougaloo College, improving to 3-0 on the season.
In the series opener, Bolin went 5-for-6 with a double, two RBI’s and three runs scored giving the Choctaws the win, 12-8. The Choctaws took down Tougaloo 8-4 in the second game of the series, as Bolin went 3-for-3 at the plate with two more RBI’s and one run scored. The Choctaws completed its series sweep with a 12-2 win on Sunday afternoon in eight innings. Bolin went 1-for-4 with one RBI and one run scored.
Bolin leads the team with a .692 batting average, with nine hits, five RBI’s and five runs scored on the season.
The Choctaws will be back in action on Friday as they travel to Hoover, Ala. to face North Greenville at 3:00 p.m.
