Junior defensive back Keith Villafranco had seven tackles, one for a loss, in the 31-24 victory over Webber International. He had two interceptions and one forced fumble. His forced fumble lead to the Choctaws' first touchdown. His second interception came in the final minute of the game and sealed the win for the Choctaws.

The Kenner, La. native was named ASC Defensive Player of the Week.

Villafranco and the Choctaws will travel to Livingston, Ala. to face Division II West Alabama on September 15th at 6:00 p.m.
