Vance was named National Collegiate Baseball Writers Association South Region and Gulf South Conference Player of the Week, following a dominant showing in the Choctaws' weekend sweep of Miles College.  The Junior was responsible for 11 RBIs on the week, including a GSC-leading seven in the Choctaws' 21-5 win over Miles.  The Union, Miss. native totaled eight hits on the week, with six extra-base hits and a home run.  He is currently batting .533 1.267 slugging percentage and .588 on-base percentage.
