Senior Jordan Pritchard has been named the Mississippi College Renasant Bank Male Athlete of the Week, it was announced on Monday (Nov. 5).
Pritchard (Painesville, Ohio) was MC's top finished at the Gulf South Conference Championships on Saturday, taking 3rd with a time of 25:18.62 in the 8k event at Choctaw Trails. He earned First Team All-GSC honors for his efforts.
As a team, the Choctaws finished 2nd in the meet behind five runners earning All-GSC honors with Top 20 finishes. The average time of 25:45.15 gave them 56 points, which was just seven behind Lee, who won the team title.
Pritchard and the Choctaws will now set their sights on the NCAA Division II South Regional, which is scheduled for November 17th in Lakeland, Fla.
