Senior Antonio Johnson has been named the Mississippi College Wright & Ferguson Male Athlete of the Week, it was announced on Monday (November 27).

Johnson scored a season-high 21 points, tying a career-high with six made three-pointers in a 107-89 victory over Southern-New Orleans last Monday. He also had a career-high seven assists with a season-high three steals in the victory.

In a Sunday exhibition game with UAB, Johnson led all scorers with 19 points, going 4-of-8 from the three-point line. He was the only Choctaw in double-figures in the 90-53 loss to the Division I Blazers.

Johnson and the Choctaws will be back in action on Thursday night when they open Gulf South Conference play against Union at 7:30 p.m. in A.E. Wood Coliseum.
