CLINTON, Miss. --- In a dominant performance, No. 33 Mississippi College men's tennis swept No. 38 Ouachita Baptist, 7-0, on Friday at the MC Tennis Complex. The Choctaws (6-3) controlled the match from start to finish, securing the doubles point before winning all six singles matches in straight sets.
Doubles Dominance
MC set the tone early by taking all three doubles matches. Walker Ellis and Sergio Ramirez Ocana powered through at No. 1 with a 6-1 win, while Alex Benichou Blanchard and Rafael Sabio secured the doubles point with a 6-1 victory at No. 2. At No. 3, Gustavo Tedesco and Alvaro Saint Martin, ranked No. 42 nationally in doubles, completed the sweep with a 6-3 win.
Perfect Singles Play
The Choctaws carried their momentum into singles competition, winning all six matches in straight sets.
