Pensacola, Fla. — Both the Mississippi College women's and men's tennis teams faced setbacks on Friday, March 28, as they were narrowly defeated by their nationally ranked counterparts from the University of West Florida. The matches, held at the Ralph "Skeeter" Carson Tennis Complex, ended with both teams losing 4-3 to the #10-ranked West Florida women and the #1-ranked West Florida men.
Women's Tennis: #15 Mississippi College Falls to #10 West Florida
The Lady Choctaws, ranked #15 in the nation, battled through an intense match but ultimately came up short. Mississippi College (12-4, 2-1 GSC) won three singles matches, but West Florida (11-6, 5-2 GSC) claimed four victories, securing the win.

Men's Tennis: #23 Mississippi College Defeated by #1 West Florida
The men's squad, ranked #23 in the nation, also put up a tough fight but fell to the top-ranked team in the country, West Florida (17-1, 6-1 GSC). Mississippi College (10-6, 2-1 GSC) split the singles matches but was unable to secure the overall win.
