ARKADELPHIA, Ark. – The Choctaws triumphed over the Tigers on Tuesday, March 11, performing a shutout as well as a run rule, extending their win streak to 7. Mississippi College elevates to 14-8 on the season and 8-4 in conference play.
The Blue and Gold jumped ahead quickly, scoring a dominating 7 runs in the third inning. These efforts were led by Cade Gadman, earning his 10th and 11th hits of the season. The Choctaws' bats were hot today, with five players earning two hits each. This consistency by main contributors Korey Cooper and Bryce LaRocca leads the Choctaw offense.
The Choctaw pitching staff performed a scoreless victory today, Taylor Ballard achieving his second win of the season. Kyle Collet and Coby Gollott closed out the game with stellar pitching, keeping Ouachita scoreless. Mississippi College looks to face Henderson State tomorrow, March 12.
