This Week in Choctaw Athletics

Another full action-packed week with eight Choctaw programs in action! Track and field starts their outdoor season, while men and women's basketball teams finish their home stretch. Stay in the loop with all the action by checking GoChoctaws.com, the MC Athletics app, or following Choctaw social media!
Monday Feb., 24

Tennis 
The men and women tennis team will continue their trip in the Lone Star by facing Texas Permain Basin. This marks the first time in program history that both programs are facing each other. First serve is at 9 a.m. at Summers Tennis Center. 
Tuesday Feb., 25

Baseball 
After going to Montevallo, Ala. this past weekend, the baseball team is heading back to Clinton to face Southern Arkansas University for non-GSC action. This is the 15th time that both the Choctaws and the Muleriders have seen each other with the Muleriders won the last two games in the series. First pitch is set for 2 p.m. at Frierson Field on FloCollege.

Wednesday Feb., 26

Softball 
The softball team is heading to the Natural State to face the University of Arkansas-Monticello in non-GSC action. This marks the fourteenth time that both programs have seen each other with the Choctaws won the last six games. First pitch is set for 2 and 4 p.m. at Alvy Early Softball Field in Montiello, Ark.

Friday Feb., 28
Baseball 
The Choctaws are heading to Jackson, Tenn. to face Union University for the second weekend of GSC play. This marks the twenty-fifth match up between the Choctaws and the Bulldogs with the Blue and Gold won the last game in the series last season. First pitch is set for 6 p.m. at Fesmire Baseball Field.

Saturday Mar., 1
Track 
After having a successful indoor season, the men and women's track and field team is opens their outdoor season by hosting the Mississippi College Spring Classic. First event is schedule at 8 a.m. at James E. Parkman Track

Tennis 
After having a road trip to Texas last weekend, the men and women tennis teams are heading to Searcy, Ark. to face Harding University. This marks the seventh time that the men have face the Bison with the series being tied. For the women, this marks the third time that programs have seen each other with the Blue and Gold winning both previous matches. First serve is set for 10 a.m. at David Elliott Tennis Complex.

The Choctaws are back in Jackson, Tenn. to face the Bulldogs in a doubleheader. Frist pitch of the first game is at 1 pm with the second game at 4 p.m. at Fesmire Baseball Field on FloCollege

The softball team head to the Volunteer state the face the Lady Bulldogs of Union for second weekend of GSC action. This marks the twenty-eighth match between both programs with the Choctaws won the last three games. First pitch is set for 1 p.m. in the doubleheader at Fesmiere Softball Field on FloCollege.

Women's Basketball 
The women's basketball team finishes the regular season by hosting Delta State Unnversity. The Choctaws fell to the Lady Statemen early this season in Cleveland, Miss. The four seniors will be recognize  as part of the senior day celebrations. Tip-off is set for 2 p.m. on FloHoops at  A.E. Wood Coliseum.

Men's Basketball 
The men's basketball team will host the Statemen of Delta State to Clinton. This marks the last game of the regular season for the Choctaws. The Blue and Gold fell to the Green and White earlier in the season. There will be two seniors that will recognize as part of senior day celebrations. Tip-off is set for 4 p.m. on FloHoops at A.E. Wood Coliseum.
