CLINTON, Miss. --- Mississippi College men's basketball dropped a home contest to Trevecca Nazarene on Thursday night, falling 85-74 at A.E. Wood Coliseum.
The Choctaws (8-18, 4-16 GSC) trailed 38-32 at halftime and were unable to slow down the Trojans (17-8, 12-7 GSC), who shot 76.2% from the field in the second half to pull away.
Tremaine Dixon led the way for MC with 22 points and eight rebounds, shooting 4-of-8 from three-point range. Rashad Bolden added 20 points, while Judah Land finished with 10 points on 5-of-7 shooting.
Trevecca Nazarene's Mateo Esmeraldo was nearly unstoppable, scoring 22 points on 8-of-9 shooting. Jikari Johnson added 21 points, including three three-pointers. The Trojans controlled the glass and shot 61.1% from the field for the game.
Mississippi College looks to bounce back on Saturday when it hosts Lee University at 2 p.m. in A.E. Wood Coliseum.
