It's a jam-packed weekend for Choctaw Athletics, with games across several sports! The women's and men's basketball teams take on both the University of Montevallo and Auburn Montgomery, while baseball starts its season in Houston and softball competes at the Mardi Gras Invitational. From the court to the diamond and track, there's plenty of action to follow all weekend long!

Thursday January, 30th

Women's Basketball 
After going 1-1 in Clinton, the women's basketball team is heading to Alabama to face the University of Montevallo Falcons. This is the second match-up this season with the Blue and Gold winning the first game in A.E. Wood Coliseum. Tip-off is set for 5:30 pm at Central State Bank Arena on FloHoops.

The men's basketball team is bringing some momentum to Montevallo, Ala. as they face the Falcons for the second time this season. The Purple and Black came up on top in their first match-up this season. Tip-off is set for 7:30 pm at Central State Bank Arena on FloHoops.

Baseball 
The baseball team heads down to Houston, Texas to compete in the Houston Astros Winter Invitational that the Houston Astros and the University of Central Missouri are hosting. Mississippi College is one of six schools in this invitational. The Blue and Gold will start the 2025 season by facing the University of Arkansas-Monticello at Daikin Park at 10 am.

Softball
The No. 12 softball team will start their season by competing in the Mardi Gras Invitational in Youngsville, La. The Blue and Gold will face the No. 7 Augustana University at 3:30 pm. This is the second time that both teams are seeing each other with the Choctaws coming out on top last season.

The Blue and Gold will face Harding University for the second game of the day. This marks the fourth match-up between both teams with the Choctaws winning two games. First pitch is set for 6 pm.

Track and Field 
After having a successful run last week in Pittsburg, Kan, the men and women's track and field teams return to Pittsburg State to compete in the Pittsburg State Invitational. The first event starts at 10 am. 

Women's Basketball 
The women's basketball team continues their journey in Alabama by heading to Montgomery, Ala. to face Auburn Montgomery. This marks the second time that both teams have played each other this season with the Choctaws came out on top. Tip-off is set for 2 pm at the AUM Athletics Complex on FloHoops.

The softball team is back in Youngsville, La. for the second day of the Mardi Gras Invitational as they face Southern Arkansas Univeristy. This marks the third time that both teams have seen each other with the Choctaws winning the first two games. First pitch is set for 3:30 pm

The only game that both programs have seen each other was in 1997 with the Ischabod Washburn coming out on top. First pitch is set for 6 pm.
